Treatment Philosophy

My treatment centers on education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. My assessments are comprehensive and address neurological, psycho-social and environmental factors. I believe that physiotherapy treatment should be individualized and used as a tool to help clients return to meaningful activity. I empower clients to actively participate in their rehabilitation. Running and shoulder injuries are a special focus.

In addition to treating adults, I have also been practicing paediatric physiotherapy (0-19 years old) since 2016. In 2017, I attended the Paediatric Update Symposium (hosted by the BC Association for Child Development and Intervention).

Other Interests

I enjoy endurance sports that get me out in the mountains. You’ll see me out skiing (backcountry, cross country and downhill), mountain biking, running, hiking and ocean kayaking. From time to time I dabble in competition. You may find me on the start line of mountain runs, ski loppets, half marathons and even the local triathlon.

Affordable and safe local recreation is very important to me. I give back to the clubs that promote and facilitate recreation in our area by organizing events, serving as a board member and attending work bees.

I coach the Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club Masters and I’m an organizer of the annual Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club Women’s clinic. I also serve as the Communications Director on the board of the Bulkley Backcountry Ski Society.
