My treatment approach uses a combination of education, manual therapy and exercise. I also use some adjunct therapies, such as ultrasound or taping (if needed) to aid in recovery. I perform a comprehensive assessment which goes beyond just the physical. This way, I am able to individualize each treatment plan specific to you so that goals and activities will be enjoyable again. I strive to empower each patient so they can take control of their rehabilitation and health. In order to do this, I believe education is vital by understanding your injury, steps in recovery, and how to prevent re-injury. I have a specific interest in anything sport related as well as stopping injuries before they happen.
I grew up in Smithers, so I am very excited to move back here with my family. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy keeping active with hiking, skiing, hockey, and going to the gym. On the weekends, you can find me cheering on my favorite football team. Go Hawks!
I believe in promoting an active lifestyle to people of all ages, which is why I think local recreation and clubs are so important. I will be looking to be involved in the community so if any clubs need a physiotherapist/trainer, give me a call!
